Its Mad to be different
"Zen" in particular, is regularly accused of being a form of madness. If you believe that people who think differently are mad, then its true that Zen Budist s are total nutcases. However all Buddhists are peaceful folk who want nothing but good for their fellow humans. The way they express their beliefs may seem odd , but in a world that countenances slaughter, famine, poverty and disease, you would be justified in wondering who are the mad ones. Zen seeks to liberate us from the shackles of thought that enslave us.
To do that it uses some highly original and unconventional means. our usual way of thinking is a deeply ingrained habit and it takes some serious shock tactics to help break us free"
