quick question: how does the old lady who ask lord vishnu to put her load back on her weak back fit into third verse of siksastaka of unalloyed devotional service [not to judge a book by the cover] ?

and on fifth verse: how do we chant HK, in what mood [candravali says: i am krishna's and radharani: krishna is mine],

Subject: Congress may Stop Organic Gardening, without your help
To:

Dear Krishna Lunch friends and supporters,

Please read the information below with great seriousness, as it
affects the health and wellness of all of us. The worlds' natural food
supply is now being threatened by the corporate food giant Monsanto
who have managed to patent the rights on various seed production with
their genetically modified versions. This threat is being carried
further to the extent that literally ALL organic farms in the U.S.
will be threatened with closure. Read on below email content which was
forwarded to us by one of our friends.
For questions/comments or to unsubscribe from the Krishna Lunch
newsletter please email us at krishnagator@gmail.com.
Sincerely yours,
Your friends at Krishna Lunch

Please tell everyone who wants organic foods.....
US House and Senate are about (in a week and a half) to vote on
bill that will OUTLAW ORGANIC FARMING (bill HR 875). There is an
enormous rush to get this into law within the next 2 weeks before
people realize what is happening.
Main backer and lobbyist is Monsanto – chemical and genetic
engineering giant corporation (and Cargill, ADM, and about 35 other
related agri-giants). This bill will require organic farms to use
specific fertilizers and poisonous insect sprays dictated by the newly
formed agency to "make sure there is no danger to the public food
supply". This will include backyard gardens that grow food only for a
family and not for sales.
If this passes then NO more heirloom clean seeds but only Monsanto
genetically altered seeds that are now showing up with unexpected
diseases in humans.
There is a video on the subject.

And another one:

The name on this outrageous food plan is: Food Safety
Modernization Act of 2009 (bill HR 875). THIS IS REAL, FOLKS! PASS
THISALONG TO ALL CONCERNED ON YOUR MAILING LISTS & CALL YOUR SENATE
REPRESENTETIVES TODAY! Get on that phone and burn up the wires. Get
anyone else you can to do the same thing. The House and Senate WILL
pass this if they are not massively threatened with loss of their
position.... They only fear your voice and your vote. The best thing
to do is go to www.house.gov/writerep all you have to do is put in
your zip and it will give you your congressperson and how to get in
touch with them. When you call their office someone will answer the
phone, just tell them (politely) that you are calling to express your
views on HR 875. Tell them your views, they'll take your name and
address and pass your comments along to the congressperson.
The following link is a list of the U.S. senators and their contact info:
http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm
(readless)
Another point is that this is merely the first stage to push this
through in other parts of the world, which is already happening. So
places like India and China will be next. Then the population of the
world will not be able to acquire nutritious food
to maintain themselves or their health. Of course, it is all a
design to cause disease and death to increase throughout society. And
if we do not become aware of the plan, then we will not be able to do
anything about it.

...more and more blog confesions spring from the inbox ocean, where all devoties feel like sharks [gliding with ease].
small fishes still get confused in their incoming correspondence about how in vedic [or any high] culture women are to be deeply respected and yet not to be trusted [all my mothers i love you dearly !], and how shridhar swami coments on lust in b.gita as something to be terminated [killed] and srila prabhupada in his comentaries rather turnes [transformes] it to love.
same difference ?
well, only few idiosyncrasies of any conditioned soul should't make me go into all this character reference and unhealthy assesments. not many people can say "i don't know" and many are therefore breaking the principles.
shall i continue or mind my own business ?
how about both. sp: our men/woman should be independently thoughtful, not bureaucratic.

disappearance day of one's teacher is time when we reflect on our commitments and hopefully realize how our memories and reflections on the mercy we recived are entirely incomplete, regardless of how much we share. we can only pray to be accepted, so our limited efforts are not futile.

fully inextasycated [politicly much more corect than "intoxicated"] with love for "even" rocks, lord's earthly manifestation as giriraja govardhana. his holiness is still bloom, as we speak...

so far it has been few encounters with these texas creatures, not as poisonous as mexican ones [that kill on the spot]. indoor encounters are always less pleasant, especially few hours before you are ready to take rest at night.

what i recently expiriance is a painfull bite of another kind, when i realized that all my art work from the times of studing art and art conservation has been lost. the story goes 10 yrs back when i was leaving croatia, leaving my entire portfolio in the house of a friend of mine. big format drawings and paintings, small format drawing studies, ink sketches, renaissance reproductions, comics etc. it's a big blow, especialy if you were planing to plug in on your local art scene.
solace one: if circumstances doesn't brake you they may make you stronger if they don't criple you. regardless of what the odds are it is a liberating expiriance after all.
like a real monks that spend wast amounts of time in mandala and zen garden forms, but all gets swept away with few strokes of broom/rake/time.
solace two: words of gita [too many to mention],
and something i red many times, but now could become the intro for a coming graphic novel about lock and load era, not at all religious one:

We must know the present need of human society. And what is that need? Human society is no longer bounded by geographical limits to particular countries or communities. Human society is broader than in the Middle Ages, and the world tendency is toward one state or one human society. The ideals of spiritual communism, according to Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, are based more or less on the oneness of the entire human society, nay, of the entire energy of living beings. The need is felt by great thinkers to make this a successful ideology. Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam will fill this need in human society. It begins, therefore, with the aphorism of Vedānta philosophy janmādy asya yataḥ [SB 1.1.1] to establish the ideal of a common cause.

Human society, at the present moment, is not in the darkness of oblivion. It has made rapid progress in the field of material comforts, education and economic development throughout the entire world. But there is a pinprick somewhere in the social body at large, and therefore there are large-scale quarrels, even over less important issues. There is need of a clue as to how humanity can become one in peace, friendship and prosperity with a common cause. Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam will fill this need, for it is a cultural presentation for the respiritualization of the entire human society.

there are many placebo attempts that cheapen our most intimate desires to feel genuinely contempt.
this is not one of them.
inside out.

this image surgery requires a lot of commitment...
today when consumers attention is migrating to social-networking sites, online news and info, virtual communities etc. that is proven more than ever before, demanding more one-on-one, personal approach.
you will find out more truth on blogs than anywhere else. let the community do the talking, don't flood them with your logos and promos. it's less and less about propaganda and more and more what works for all in long term.
however, this shift in power dynamics is not effecting our commercial objectives that are ever present and seen in microsites [that is more efficient way of comunicating them].

"...We are not Salvationists, we do not want to just give assistance and love only to those of our same faith. We don’t want to be that pseudo spiritualist who just wants to facilitate their own kind. We want to be active agents for global consciousness raising. I love you all and will find even more ways to show it after I leave this body." [hhbts in his last letter]

alluring meals

...
Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas attributes this story to his preacher father's experiences in Washington State:

"In 1904, when we lived in Cleveland (Washington State), it was a lively
village of a hundred or more inhabitants. There was a church and school, a
post office, stores, and several boarding houses. A half-dozen miles to
the south was a small settlement appropriately called Dot. Three miles to
the east was the town of Bickleton. Father had the pastorate at each of
these three places, riding to preach in each at least once a week, and
preaching in two churches every Sunday, a physically arduous routine.

Bickleton is still a small, thriving trading center for farmers. Dot today
is hardly identifiable. In those days it had only a church, a simple
one-room building where father held a Thursday night service for people
from the outlying ranches. His first service at Dot was disappointing, as
only one man appeared. Father waited awhile but no one else showed up, so
he opened the service with a prayer and a hymn. Then addressing the lone
man in the audience, he said, " Since there are only two of us present, I
wonder if I should continue the service or wait another week until word of
my arrival gets around." The man arose and said, "Reverend Douglas, I'm
not a preacher, only a cowboy. All I know is this: if I had forty horses
and a load of hay and went out to feed them and could find only one horse,
I don't think I'd let that one horse go hungry."

Father got the message and settled down to an hour-long sermon. When the
service was over and he shook hands with the lone member of the audience at
the front door, he asked, "How did it go?" The man replied, "Reverend
Douglas, as I said, I'm only a cowboy. But if I had forty horses to feed
and went out looking for them with a load of hay and found only one horse,
I don't think I'd give the whole load to that one horse."

glad to be back

...distributing sp's books is always fun, since it brings relief from everything else.
i mean everything else. there, you have to depend on krishna fully and is such a clear space while you are trying to serve others who have forgoten. there is nothing in there for you but to remember how the whole world is one big familly.
while on the way to denver on the suny day there was a google maps expiriance we had from the airplane with countless fields over kansas as far as eye can see. level of amazement ? ...almost like swimming back in croatia at the beach across my parents house, where you are totaly relaxed, not touching the ground with close to zero gravity.
here on the warped tour in kali yuga kirtans/concerts where devoties/under amnesia are barking at each other i can see why krishna is so blissed out: he has served by many in most uncomon ways. as we get them a book like a tranquilizer and the tool to rewire their pained heads/hearts. let it shine.
